Most new cars nowadays are sold with an option of a protection package from the main dealers. They will use in-house valeters who are not as experienced in the preparation of a new car, and also, are usually working to a tight schedule. Most of the time they will offer a lifetime shine guarantee, which to be honest isn’t going to last anywhere near that length of time. The dealership protection you pay £100’s for can be purchased on internet auction sites for pounds, so this is where Reflective Desire car detailing comes in with the most up to date and top of the range sealants available to treat your car. The likes of Gtechniq, Gyeon, Carpro, Carlack and Swissvax are some of the best sealant/waxes on the market at the moment and it is these items which Reflective Desire regularly uses on its clients cars.

Unfortunately a lot of new vehicles pick up the occasional scratch and mark from either contamination in storage, transportation or from the pre-delivery valet at the main dealers.

The de-contamination and cleaning of the paintwork, trim and alloys is really important, because if its not completed meticulously and correctly the protection is effectively pointless and will degrade prematurely.

~ Transport film adhesive carefully removed

~ Lower car, bumpers and arches degreased and power rinsed

~ Alloy wheels cleaned, including inners, using an assortment of soft brushes and cleaners

~ Snow foam applied to exterior of paint, to gently lift dirt

~ Power rinsed

~ Paint hand washed using the 2 bucket method and a high grade lambswool wash mitt

~ Paintwork decontaminated using a clay mitt to remove bonded contaminants and then iron-x to remove iron fallout

~ Re-washed

~ Exterior dried using microfibre towels and warm air blower

~ Any scratches or blemishes removed via rotary or dual action polisher

~ Carpro essence and Carpro reload used as a cleanser and sealant for the paintwork

~ Gyeon Q2 trim used on all exterior plastics

~ All glass cleaned and externally sealed using Carlack glass sealant

~ Alloys and chrome trim sealed with Gyeon Q2 rim

~ Interior and trim vacuumed and cleaned

~ Leather cleaned and sealed using mild detergents and Gtechniq L1 leather guard

~ Upholstery and carpets treated with Gtechniq I1 sealant

All detailing work can be carried out at our premises in Sheffield, but if the vehicle needs to be detailed at your premises, a water tap and electricity supply will need to be available.
