Machine Polish

Cost*: Small Vehicles £100, Medium Vehicles £130, Large Vehicles £160, 4×4/MPV £200.

A machine polish will breathe new life back into your paintwork and give it that fantastic shine you lack from just a quick wash n wax or valet. Similar compounds and pads are used as what’s used in a full correction detail, but less time is spent as full paint correction is not aimed for with this treatment.

~ Vehicle pre-rinsed using a non caustic traffic film remover

~ Wheels cleaned with alloy wheel cleaner

~ Snow foaming of vehicle using a ph neutral snowfoam

~ First wash using a ph neutral shampoo and the 2 bucket method*

~ Tar spots removed

~ Clay bar of paintwork

~ Washed again using a ph neutral shampoo and the 2 bucket method*

~ Dried using plush waffle weave drying towels

~ Single stage machine polish to enhance the shine on the vehicle

~ Tyres dressed

~ Windows cleaned

~ Layer of a durable wax applied to protect and further enhance the reflection of the paintwork

**The 2 bucket method prevents the problem of dirt scratching your paintwork. One bucket has the soapy water for washing, whilst the second bucket has the clean water in for rinsing the wash mitt. Inside each bucket are grit guards, these help separate the dirt particles from your wash mitt preventing dirt from being dragged back across the paintwork of your car.

All detailing work can be carried out at our premises in Sheffield, but if the vehicle needs to be detailed at your premises, a water tap and electricity supply will need to be available.

~ Second snow foam applied if required

~ Door shuts, bonnet and boot degreased

~ Paint washed using the 2 bucket method and lambswool wash mitt

~ Power rinse

~ Exterior dried using a warm air blower

~ Interior hoovered

~ Interior trim dressed

~ Exterior trim dressed

~ Lower car, bumpers and wheel arches are degreased and power rinsed

~ Wheel fronts cleaned using an acid free cleaner

~ Snow foam applied to exterior paint

~ Power rinse

~ Creases, badges, trim and vents cleaned with soft brushes

~ Door, bonnet and boot shuts degreased

~ Paint hand washed using the 2 bucket method and a high grade wash mitt

~ Tar is removed from lower panels

~ Power rinse

~ Dried using plush waffle weave towel

~ Paintwork & glass clayed to remove contamination

~ Pre-wax cleaner is applied to remove light swirls/marring and to prepare the surface for the wax or sealant

~ Exterior trim dressed

~ Wheel arches dressed

~ Tyres dressed

~ Glass and mirrors cleaned, polished & then sealed with a hydrophobic rain repellent

~ Exhaust tailpipes polished

~ Alloy wheels sealed with Wheel Wax

~ Exterior paintwork treated with a coat of a durable wax.

~ All litter is removed from the vehicle

~ A complete vacuum of the vehicle including boot

~ All upholstery, carpets and boot are shampooed

~ A coating of Gtechniq L1 leather guard is applied to the leather seats to protect against accidental spills and to prevent early signs of wear and tear on seats and bolsters

~A coating of Gtechniq I1 is applied to all fabric and carpets including boot lining to protect against accidental spills

~ Dashboard and door panels are cleaned and dressed

~ Inside glass cleaned and polished

~ Paper foot mats and front seat covers are supplied

Fabric Roof Detail

Time: approx 2-3 hours (best left overnight under cover to fully dry) Cost: from £80

- Start by brushing the roof fabric in the direction of the nap

- Vacuum the fabric to remove the loose dirt

- Deep shampoo the fabric to lift trapped dirt and contamination

- Rinse

- Finally a warm air dry
